Denver Press Club to re-open with limited hours Sept. 17, require masks and social distancing

The Denver Press Club will reopen with limited hours, opening Thursdays and Fridays from 4-11 p.m. while implementing requirements for indoor masks social distancing while serving a limited menu.

The Denver Press Club has been forced to temporarily shut down after Colorado Gov. Jared Polis ordered bars and nightclubs to close because of a steady rise in positive coronavirus cases in the state.

Small Business Administration approves Denver Press Club for loan through Paycheck Protection Program

The Denver Press Club has been granted a $21,385 federal loan through the Small Business Administration’s Paycheck Protection Program to cover the salaries of its two main employees for just over two months.

Amid the ongoing worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, the Denver Press Club board on Sunday afternoon approved closing the Club through at least March 31 and postponing our annual Damon Runyon award banquet until the fall.
