Não deixe o samba morrer! Join me e meu Ritmo (& my Rhythm) for a lively evening of music from the beautiful land of Brazil, at 6:30pm on Thursday September 19 at the Denver Press Club. I have the same stellar quartet appearing with me: as last year Bill Kopper (g), Eric Gunnison (p), Peter Huffaker (b), and Raoul Rossiter (dr): QUE BANDA INCRÍVEL!! I mean, how often do you get to enjoy musicians of this caliber, live and in person??
We’ll share tunes by Tom Jobim & Vinicius de Moraes, Joao Gilberto, Elise Regina, Chico Buarque, plus some surprises. Bask in the evocative poetry and captivating polyrhythms of sunny Brazil, and let these incomparable bossa novas and sambas transport you to your happy place…
