How will coronavirus affect the rest of the Colorado legislative session?
May 20, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm MDT
The coronavirus has significantly altered the agenda for the Colorado legislature for the rest of the year. The state is facing a potential budget shortfall of $3 billion — about 10 percent of Colorado’s budget overall. Plans for more transportation funding and paid family leave are off the table. So what does the rest of the year look like, and what can we expect in 2021 and beyond?
Join our all-star panel of journalists at 6 p.m. MT on Wednesday, May 20: Marianne Goodland of Colorado Politics; Marshall Zelinger of KUSA-9NEWS and Charles Ashby of the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel, moderated by Colorado Politics managing editor Linda Shapley as we explore the impact the coronavirus will have on state and local politics.
Because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the session will be held remotely. Register for the Denver Press Club’s webinar via Zoom here.
