Vice President John Nance Garner famously quipped that his office was “not worth a bucket of warm spit.” That might be true – if this wasn’t 2020. In this extraordinary year, the debate between Vice President Mike Pence and Senator Kamala Harris has taken on added importance, given that both major party nominees are in their 70s – and that one of them has been diagnosed with coronavirus.
