Please join the Crafting for Democracy crew as we welcome Denver artist Carrie MaKenna to speak with us about her fine art process that includes creating and working with a “thick acrylic paste” at our Aug. 14 meetup, which begins at 6 p.m. Carrie also will share about her passion and efforts to launch the Colorado Women’s Art Museum.
“I make artwork to remind people of their interconnection with each other, nature and the universe,” Carrie said. “My intention is to draw the viewer into an experience of their own relationship with themselves, the world and understandings of life, love, joy and peace. I’m inspired at the intersection of spirituality, nature and art.”
