DESCRIPTION:The Press Club will begin hosting monthly Urban Salons on contentious local topics\, allowing community members and professionals to discuss issues that affect their city and their lives. \nThe salons will be held on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m.\, and we encourage attendees to arrive early to grab a beverage. \nThe salon series is paired with an event called the Great Debate\, where we host professionals to debate the same controversial topic on the third Thursday of each month. The salons will allow those with strong opinions to join the conversation and have their voices heard. \nThe goal is to take those online arguments and bring people together in person for productive conversation. Consider it an opportunity for a confluence of ideas. \nOur door is open to all\, but it’s heavy\, so push hard! \nTickets are free\, but we ask that you RSVP\, and we always appreciate donations. \nPlease RSVP here \n
