DESCRIPTION:The legendary New York Daily news scribe Jimmy Breslin has always held a special place in Denver Press Club history. He was our inaugural Damon Runyon Award winner in 1994 – in part because Breslin’s exuberant biography\, “Damon Runyon: A Life” re-introduced the early twentieth century journalist playwright to the culture at large.   \nIn a full-circle moment\, as part of this year’s Damon Runyon Award celebration and our historic 100th year at 1330 Glenarm Place\, the Denver Press Club is excited to welcome Richard Esposito into the Club to discuss “Jimmy Breslin: The Man Who Told the Truth\,” his vivid biography of Breslin – the first of its kind. \nRichard Esposito has served as Sr. Executive Producer\, Investigations\, NBC News and Senior Investigative Reporter at ABC News. He has received the George Polk Award for Television Reporting and is a five-time Emmy Award winner. He was previously a news executive at the New York Daily News and at New York Newsday\, where he was City Editor and a member of a team awarded a Pulitzer Prize in 1992. \nBring your questions and join Esposito for cocktails to celebrate Runyon\, Breslin\, and the Denver Press Club.
