Sandra Fish leads a discussion on how journalists can deal with roadblocks and obstruction when they file open records act requests with local, state and federal governments.


Fish is president of the Journalism and Women Symposium and a freelance journalist out of Boulder who covers data and politics in New Mexico and Colorado.


She will be joined by the executive director of the Colorado Freedom of Information Coalition, Jeff Roberts, and Coloradoan reporter Nicholas Coltrain. Coltrain is the 2017 recipient of SPJ Colorado Pro's First Amendment Award.


Networking starts at 5:30 p.m. with a 60- to 90-minute discussion to follow. Bring examples of challenges you're facing and successes you've had.
